Last Saturday, I chanced upon this café when googling "cafes johor bahru". This is probably one of the lesser known cafés in Johor Bahru at the moment, but is slowly gaining recognition for its good quality coffee, and their philosophy, 'Coffee Solves Everything'.
The Ambience
Plenty of seating here, both indoor and outdoor. It has a relatively more open concept than the other cafés around. A good hangout place, maybe not one I would choose for doing work.
The Food
There were four of us that day, so we managed to order quite a bit.
I honestly forgot the name of this cake (boo, me) but it was apparently a house favourite. It's made of 70% Valrhona Chocolate, sultanas and almonds. Bit too bitter for me but the boys loved it.
Fried calamari and onion rings which were nothing to boast about.
Northern Italy Blend Latte – so-so.
Northern Italy Blend Iced Latte – also so-so.
Southern Italy Blend Iced Mocha – very good blend of coffee and chocolate! Loved it.

The menu opens up like a flower – pretty neat Origami, I'd say.
They have an extensive list of drinks albeit the steep price. For all beverages containing coffee, customers are given a choice between the Northern Italy Blend or the Southern Italy Blend. According to our friendly waiter, the more popular choice among locals is the Southern Italy Blend, while Europeans would tend to favor the Northern Italy Blend. Alan and YS went for the Northern blend which made them feel unique and oh-so-hipster.
Overall
Slightly overpriced for average coffee (but who am I to say? I'm not much of a coffee drinker anyway) with an okay ambience. The menu is quite extensive so it's good for the adventurous who prefer something different. Service was not too bad, but the food did take a pretty long time to come.
